Prince Harry has long-been regarded as the joker of the royal family, always ready with a cheeky quip to deliver at an opportune moment. His mini improv with Meghan Markle

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry visited Morocco on a royal tour earlier this year and the Prince certainly made sure he packed his sense of humour. While visiting a boarding house staffed by Education For All, a charity which supports young women in education, a teacher congratulated the pair on their pregnancy.

Harry responded in mock surprise, “She’s pregnant?

Meghan put her acting skills to work and rolled with it, placing a hand on his back as she responded, “Surprise!”

“Is it mine?” he asked.

His joke about Meghan's bump

While waiting for the speeches to begin at the Endeavour Fund Awards earlier this year, Prince Harry cracked a joke about Meghan's bump to guests.

As reported by Hello!, he pointed out his wife’s impressive bump and told them, “There’s a heavy baby in her!”

Meghan is said to have sung his praises at the event, saying he was “going to be a great dad”.

His popcorn comic routine

In a moment that went viral, a little girl was caught on camera stealing Prince Harry’s popcorn at the Invictus Games in 2017. The two-year-old, a daughter of his friend paralympian David Henson, sneakily stole tiny handfuls of Prince Harry’s popcorn while he wasn't looking - and she nearly got away with it.

After realising what she was up to, the Prince pretended to be horrified. He then playfully tempted her with the box a couple of times, and when it seemed he was finally about to hand her a piece, he quickly popped it into his own mouth instead.

Not one to be mean however, he eventually melted hearts when he shared his snack with her.

His nickname for Prince George

Prince Harry officially became an uncle when Prince George was born in 2013, and the following year - while speaking to a Chilean radio presenter - Prince Harry is reported to have said of his nephew, “He’s growing up. He is walking, and he has big, chubby cheeks. He looks like a young Winston Churchill.”

Prince George got his own back on his uncle a few years later, however, when Michelle and Barack Obama were visiting Kensington Palace.

As the then First Lady revealed in a joint ABC News interview with Prince Harry, "I have to say the most precious thing, if you haven't already fallen in love with [Prince Harry], is to see him with his nephew. Because all throughout [our visit, Prince George] was like, "Uncle Harry, why are you so quiet? Why are you so quiet?"'

To which Prince Harry responded, "So embarrassing!"

His loving dig at his own dad

Ireland was the first country Prince Harry and Meghan Markle visited in an official capacity as man and wife, and while there, the Prince cracked a joke at his father’s expense.

The Irish prime minister had apparently shown Prince Charles around Cork a couple of weeks prior, and when addressing the Irish premier, Harry said, “We are very grateful for you for you joining us here this evening as well. And also very nice to know [Prince Charles] didn’t bore you senseless.”

His best man 'proposal'

The country rejoiced when Prince Harry announced his engagement to Meghan Markle in 2017, however, the actress wasn't the only person the Prince proposed to in the lead up to his nuptials.

Just as Prince William asked Harry to be his best man at his wedding in 2011, so Harry returned the favour. How did he do it?

At an event for the Greenhouse Center charity, Prince Harry revealed, “How did I ask? Got down on one knee!”

His Christmas present to The Queen

This isn’t exactly a dad joke, but it is downright hilarious. Buying Christmas presents for those who have pretty much everything already is no easy task, which is why the British royals’ are believed to buy one another ridiculous gag gifts every year. While Meghan Markle is reported to have reduced The Queen to tears of laughter with a singing toy hamster a couple of years ago, the gift Prince Harry gave her one year was something else.

The cheeky Prince allegedly gifted his grandmother with... a shower cap, with the words “Ain’t life a b*tch” printed on it.

His gripe with a seating plan

Way before Prince Harry and Meghan Markle fell in love, the Prince was one of London’s most eligible bachelors. In 2014, the royal attended a charity dinner for the 100 Women in Hedge Funds Gala Dinner and to begin his speech, he quipped, “I’m not entirely sure who made the seating plan, but I’m sandwiched between two men. I [thought] it would be just 100 women and myself.”

His endless jokes about Prince William's bald patch

Prince William’s receding hairline has never failed to provide fodder for Prince Harry's gags.

Case in point, when the pair trained together while in the Royal Air Force in 2009, Prince Harry said of his brother, “I think he’s definitely got more brains than me, I think we established that from school...and his baldness.”

His advice on meeting The Queen

A documentary called Queen of the World aired on ITV last year and in it, Prince Harry revealed hilarious insight into his relationship with his grandmother. While speaking to a group of visitors from the Caribbean, he had some funny advice for managing an encounter with The Queen.

“Have you bumped into the Queen yet?" he asked. "If you suddenly bump into her in the corridor, don’t panic. I know you will. We all do!”
