Was the leader of the Democrats in the US Congress, Nancy Pelosi, prescient when she rounded off a conference on Saturday at the Grosvenor House Hotel on Women, Peace and Security, run by Georgetown University?

In her closing remarks, in which she expressed concern at the dearth of women involved in the Arab Spring, she made a reference to “President Clinton” as in Hillary, not Bill, before correcting herself and talking about Secretary Clinton instead. “Perhaps I’m being a bit premature,” she said.
