Technology isn't top-notch at BIS after all

One could be forgiven for assuming technology would be top-notch at BIS, the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills. Not so, it seems. Westminster types emailing civil servants and ministers at BIS yesterday were bemused to receive this out-of-office message: “Please note that due to an IT upgrade, from 5pm Monday until an unknown time on Tuesday I will have no access to emails.”

Perhaps some investment in their IT innovation and skills wouldn’t go amiss.
