Sky’s the limit for Damon Albarn and co

To Mozambique via Westbourne Grove. Last night the Mile High pop-up restaurant opened to guests, or “passengers” as they were styled. After checking in at the Old Sorting Office and receiving their “passports”, passengers drank African aperitifs before an in-flight feast and entertainment from a flirty Pan Am air stewardess.

The supper is run by four Templeton cousins — ex-Moro chef Oliver, Anna, Will and Ed, who will shortly be teaming up with Tom Conran for a series of suppers called Rumble in the Deli. The Londoner, checking through the flight lists, sees that Blur’s Damon Albarn is also due to join the Mile High club in the next few days. Let’s hope he’s not sat next to Noel Gallagher for the flight or it could get a bit rowdy.
