Brexit is leaving no stone unturned. The Londoner met artist supreme Tracey Emin at the Blain Southern Gallery in Mayfair last night, at a private view of Tim Noble and Sue Webster’s imaginatively named new sculpture show, Sticks with Dicks and Slits.

“Where’s the hubby?” we asked, referring of course to the stone she married last year. “It’s in the South of France,” she explained. “It’s not going anywhere.” “What about Brexit?” we asked, concerned at her matrimonial happiness. “We’re both distraught,” she said. “The stone and I are both distraught... I think Brexit, leaving the European market, is one of the worst things imaginable at this time in history. Anyone with any sense would agree. Anyone under 60 would agree.”

Would she cross the Channel? “It’s a long- distance relationship,” Emin replied. “The stone is exclusive. I know where it’s going to be.”

Who wouldn’t want a husband as rock-solid as hers?
