Edgar Wright has a blind spot for Monica Lewinsky

As one of the country’s most popular film directors, one would think that Edgar Wright would have got used to famous people by now, but it seems he has a little way to go. The man behind Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz took to Twitter yesterday after struggling to place a face. “You know when you smile at someone you think you recognise because they look familiar,” he tweeted, “and then realise it’s Monica Lewinsky?”

Don’t feel too embarrassed Edgar — you’re not the only one. We recently bumped into Lewinsky mere moments after she had been confused for one of the Kardashians.
