Is Zara Phillips an Anne Hathaway fan? Princess Anne’s daughter has named her newborn child Mia, the name of Hathaway’s character in The Princess Diaries.
In the film, Mia is raised as a civilian with no titles and is kept away from the court, before a succession crisis leads to her taking the crown. The Londoner hopes life does not continue to imitate art: a royal catastrophe would have to render 15 heirs indisposed for her to take the family title. But that’s another film.
