The cast of a new ballet version of Aladdin took time out from their busy schedule this week.

Members of the Birmingham Royal Ballet company are performing at the London Coliseum until Sunday in the UK premiere performances of David Bintley’s production of the classic story of romance and adventure — and a battered magic lamp — set to music by Carl Davis.

The production was created for the National Ballet of Japan five years ago.
