The capital has some of the highest numbers of flashers and peeping toms in the country, official figures reveal.

According to the latest Home Office figures, there were 88 recorded cases of exposure and voyeurism in Camden last year alone.

Two more London boroughs, Westminster and Hackney, are also among the five places in the country with the highest rates of flashers and voyeurs striking in the areas, according to The Mirror.

But it is Swindon that has the highest levels of these crimes the country, according to new data.

There were 94 cases of people exposing themselves or spying on others in the town in the 12 months up to and including September 2016.

That is an increase from 40 instances of exposure or voyeurism recorded in the area over the same period the previous year.

Roughly one person in every 2,310 people living in Swindon will display this sort of perverted behaviour, according to statistics.

That is three times higher than the national average.
