Police are growing increasingly concerned for the safety of a 15 –year-old boy who has been missing from his home for five days.
Benjamin Endeley was last seen by his family at 7.30am last Wednesday when he set off from his home in Plumstead to go to school.
The boy, who was dressed in his school uniform, is believed to have attended Woolwich Polytechnic but then appears to have vanished into thin air.
He has never gone missing before and his disappearance was “completely out of character.”
Scotland Yard said today that officers and his family growing increasingly concerned for his safety and welfare.
The boy left his Blackberry smartphone at home and does not have a Facebook or Twitter account which has made it more difficult to trace him.
Police also said that Benjamin does not have access to money.
Detectives believe that the teenager often visited the 'Sam' chicken shop in Plumstead Road, Woolwich, where he may have met children from other schools, including pupils from Plumstead Manor School.
Benjamin is described as black, 5ft 5ins and slim with short hair. He was wearing a school uniform including a black blazer, black trousers, white shirt and red and black tie.
Detective Inspector James Harper, in charge of the investigation, said: "We are keen to hear from anyone who may help us retrace Benjamin's movements on 17 April.
"We are currently looking at all CCTV images at our disposal and are following a number of investigative leads. Have you seen Benjamin? Did you see him on the day he went missing?"
