New inflatable pop-up venue in City to bowl over crowds

25 March 2014

The City is to get a new pop-up venue in the shape of a giant bowler hat.

The inflatable space will provide a focus for the City of London Festival as director Paul Gudgin, aims to create an Edinburgh Festival Fringe atmosphere. He said: “We’re fortunate to have buildings like St Paul’s but this will make the festival more centre stage.” The design is modelled on the head wear long associated with City workers.

City of London Festival runs from June 22 to July 17. colf.org
