This is the first picture of 11-year-old Josh Osborne after he was killed in an alleged hit-and-run in south-east London.

Josh died today after he was hit by a car in Orpington on Saturday evening.

He was treated at the scene and taken to hospital in east London but died in the early hours of Wednesday.

The Met said “the car involved did not initially stop at the scene but came to a halt a short distance away”.

The driver, a 73-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and making off from the scene of an accident.

He has since been released under investigation.

Anyone who witnessed the incident, or who has dashcam footage, is asked to call police on 101, quoting CAD6316 of April 13.
