A cyclist performed an incredible loop-the-loop stunt next to the London Eye last night.

Danny MacAskill appeared to defy gravity as he sped around the circular track next to the River Thames.

The 28-year-old Scot is known for his freestyle cycling flair. He works professionally as a street trials pro rider, in which he performs stunts in urban environments.

Last night's event was staged by Microsoft to promote its personal assistant function on the Windows Phone 8.1.

Cortana can be programmed to recognise a mobile phone user's voice in order to understand oral commands, such as carrying out web searches and setting reminders.
