But, in a blow for train travellers, Network Rail has scheduled engineering works , meaning there are no services running between Clapham Junction and Barnes today.

It means South West Trains will not be able to call at Putney and Wandsworth Town.

Some trains will still call at Barnes, Barnes Bridge, Chiswick and Kew Bridge but could take up to three times as long.

Rail replacement buses are running but passengers have been warned to allow extra time for their journeys.

Network Rail and South West Trains are also advising passengers to avoid Clapham Junction today, as it is likely to be exceptionally busy.

Buses will also be running, but certain roads could be closed and routes will be changed to cope with the crowds.

For up-to-date transport information on the day, spectators can visit the Transport for London website or follow @TfLTravelAlerts on Twitter. Full details are also available here.
