Black trainee ‘forced out of City police’

A trainee was forced out of the City of London police after claiming he was a marked man and had been accused of cowardice because he was black, an employment tribunal heard today.

Anthony Joseph, 43, said he was subjected to “hostile” treatment and was also accused of drinking on the job, despite being teetotal.

He claims race discrimination.

The tribunal continues.
