The ideal home for a football-club-owning oligarch has come onto the market — a Russian dacha in Chelsea.

The “unique” property was designed by architect F E Williams and completed about 100 years ago.

In Russia, dachas are usually second homes outside of the city, where owners can get away from the hustle and bustle to reconnect with nature.

This property, however, is still in London, just a short distance from the Thames, and one mile from Stamford Bridge, and near Cheyne Walk — where Roman Abramovich used to live.

It could be the perfect home from home for one of the capital’s 100,000 Russia-born residents.

But whoever buys it will need the bank balance of a tycoon — with the current owners giving it a £16 million price tag. Stamp duty would be a further £1.8 million.

The grade II listed home is on the market with Chelsea estate agency Russell Simpson. Jake Russell, a director at the company, said: “This is a beautifully placed house, just off King’s Road, perfect for a buyer looking for home on the doorstep of one of London’s greatest shopping promenades.

“Externally and internally it is stunning … it based on a traditional Russian dacha. It’s the perfect party venue. It’s a unique, wonderful property.”

The 5,370 square foot property boasts a first-floor reception room with a vaulted ceiling and huge window, looking out onto The Vale.

There is an entertaining space, which includes a large panelled dining room, as well as a cinema room.

It has a large conservatory which opens out onto a secluded and sunny rear west-facing paved garden. The four main bedrooms — all en suite — are spread across the first, second and third floors, with the second floor dedicated to the master suite.

A study also doubles up as a fifth bedroom and there is a smaller sixth bedroom in the lower ground floor, which also hosts a cinema rooom, gym and wine cellar.
