Police have charged a woman after a video appearing to show a racist attack on fellow train passengers emerged on the internet.

British Transport Police (BTP) said today: "A woman has been arrested and charged with racially aggravated public order after yesterday's Woolwich-Abbey Wood train incident on YouTube."

BTP released CCTV images of the incident, which is believed to have taken place on Tuesday.

A 40-second clip whch appeared on YouTube showed a middle-aged passenger arguing with other commuters on board a busy train. During the film, the woman is heard shouting “go home where you belong”.
