A manhunt has been launched after a TfL attendant was racially abused at Morden Underground station in south London.

The suspect approached the member of rail staff and asked her to help him with his Oyster card just before 6pm on October 13.

Noticing he was not wearing a face mask, the attendant asked him to put one on before she could assist him.

The man refused and began shouting at her before entering a station shop. He later reemerged and began racially abusing her.

He left the station after the interaction but is reported to have returned the following day to take a photo of the member of rail staff before leaving the station.

British Transport Police have issued a CCTV image of a man they wish to speak to in connection with the investigation.

Officers believe the man in the CCTV image may have information which could assist their investigation.
