A second thief has admitted carrying out a £25 million raid Tamara Ecclestone’s home.

Alessandro Maltese, 45, appeared at Isleworth crown court this afternoon to plead guilty to a charge of burglary conspiracy.

His guilty plea comes a few weeks after fellow Italian Alessandro Donati, 43, admitted he was part of the group who broke into Ms Ecclestone’s mansion in December 2019.

Despite the presence of a security team at the £70 million 55-room home near to Kensington Palace, burglars were able to enter and spend almost an hour hunting for valuables.

An estimated £25 million of jewels and cash were stolen on December 13, 2019, while Ms Ecclestone and her family were away on a skiing holiday.

Frank and Christine Lampard’s home was also targeted by the same gang, as well as the home of late Leicester City owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha.

Both Donati and Maltese have been remanded in custody until they can be sentenced, and they will also face confiscation proceedings.

A third man, Jugoslav Jovanovic, 23, is also in custody in the UK, accused of being part of the same criminal conspiracy.

He is due to appear in court on May 7 to enter his plea.

All three men were arrested under European Arrest Warrants, following an investigation into the break-ins by the Metropolitan Police’s Flying Squad.
