Police hunt Ford Galaxy driver after man seriously injured in hit-and-run in Acton

A 53-year-old man is fighting for his life in hospital after he was involved in a hit and run on a busy west London street.

The man was rushed to hospital yesterday after he was struck by a silver Ford Galaxy in The Vale, Acton just before 8pm.

Police said his condition remains critical.

Detectives have issued an appeal for witnesses after the car failed to stop following the collision.

The driver is described as a black man, aged in his 20s. The car’s wing mirror on the passenger side was damaged. The car drove off in the direction of Hammersmith.
