Detectives investigating the murder of a man whose body was found badly beaten and partially naked on a beach in Kent today renewed appeals to speak to people who saw him before he died.

Gary Pocock, 34, from Dagenham, was found, stripped from the waist down, near a caravan site in Leysdown on the Isle of Sheppey in Kent, where he regularly visited.

Police said today that three people arrested in connection with his murder have all been released without charge.

A post-mortem examination found Mr Pocock died of head injuries. Kent Police said he had suffered a "vicious attack".

Police arrested two men, aged 29 and 44, and a 43-year-old woman, all from London, in the days following the murder.

A Kent police spokesman said today: “Three people who were arrested in connection with the death of a man whose body was found on the Isle of Sheppey have all been released without charge.

“We are still keen to hear from anyone with information or anyone who saw Gary prior to his death.”
