A man has been arrested after three women were attacked in south London.
Scotland Yard said a 28-year-old man was held today in Thornton Heath and remains in police custody.
Two attacks took place in the Streatham area in December and have been linked forensically with another assault in March. Two of the victims were sexually assaulted.
The first took place in Challice Way at around 10pm on Sunday, December 20 when a 29-year-old woman was punched from behind and knocked to the ground.
The man continued the assault until he was disturbed by a passer-by and fled the scene towards Hartwell Close.
Three hours later, there was another incident when a man followed a 20-year-old woman walking along Streatham Common South.
He attacked her from behind before he forced her to the ground and sexually assaulted her in an alleyway in Covington Way. He then left the scene.
The arrest is also linked to an attack on a young woman in Granville Gardens at 2.30am on Sunday, March 27.
The victim, aged in her 20s, was attacked from behind and sexually assaulted.
Detectives from the Sexual Offences, Exploitation and Child Abuse Command have launched an investigation.
