This is the first picture of a barber who was shot dead at a snooker club in east London.

Grineo Daka, 27, was gunned down at the Phoenix Club in Leyton in the early hours of July 7 after becoming involved in what police described as “an altercation”.

He owned Celebrity Barbers in Newham, a salon popular with rappers including Geko, and lived in Stratford.

A staff member said: “He was a very smiley guy. He will be missed.”

Liridon Saliuka, 29, of no fixed address, was due to appear at Barkingside magistrates’ court today charged with Mr Daka’s murder, possession of a firearm and grievous bodily harm with intent.
