A burglary victim has hit out at police after the force was "too busy" to investigate despite attending the nearby home of ex-footballer Ian Wright after his car was stolen the next day.

Natalie Neil had her Audi TT sports car, luxury watches and her late grandmother's jewellery taken from her Queen's Park home on Monday, according to the Mail.

Police sent forensics officers to the 40-year-old's house to dust for prints - but allegedly said they were "too busy" to send detectives to investigate.

But the following day, a group of six officers attended Wright's home in the area after recovering the football star's stolen vehicle.

They posed for a picture with the sporting star, who shared it on Instagram.

He then shared another of one of the officers and wrote: "Car got nicked tonight and got found by a Tottenham fan policeman...thank you so much".

Ms Neal was outraged at the number of officers dispatched to the former Arsenal striker's home but not hers.

She told the Mail: "I would like to speak to the police who say they are to busy to send someone round to mine to see if there is a connection.

"I'm very happy he had his car returned, perhaps one of the six officers could stop posing for a pic and pop round to help a non-famous, tax-paying crime victim?"

Items stolen from Ms Neil's home include a pair of 100-year-old earrings, a TAG Carrera men's watch, gold Italian necklaces and an iPad mini.

A Met Police spokesman told the Standard: "Police in Brent received a report of a burglary in Kempe Road on the afternoon of Monday, April 30.

"A report was taken and a forensic specialist attended the property. No arrests have been made."
