No injuries were reported.

Police said the man had been arrested and two "suspected firearms" have been recovered following a search of a property in the street.

A spokeswoman said: "Kent Police was called to an address in Briar Road, Bexley, at 10.19am on Thursday 17 December to a report that a man was in possession of a suspected firearm.

"A 52-year-old man, from Bexley, has been arrested in connection with the incident and remains in custody.
