Twitter users compared Musgraves to a "human flower princess" and "the prettiest pink cloud" when she appeared on the red carpet in a ruffled Giambattista Valli gown.

Others compared the look less favorably to a Barbie, a loofah and the bridesmaid dress Rachel wears to Mindy's wedding in Friends.

Speaking to Ryan Seacrest on the red carpet, Musgraves revealed the designer of the cloud dress is Italian fashion house Giambattista Valli.

This isn't the first time Musgraves has gone big on ruffles. On her winning night at the Grammy awards, she wore a striking red tulle gown.

Pink ruffles were a hot trend on the Oscars red carpet this year, with Linda Cardellini, Gemma Chan and Maya Rudolf also diving into the trend.

“I have been a fan of their works of art forever" Musgraves said of her dress's designer, Giambattista Valli, "so it’s an honor to get to wear this dress. It’s like, ‘Make way for the dress. I need about 10 feet.'”
