It’s the nightmare that every festival-goer has endured at one time or another.

You arrive at Glastonbury, pitch your tent, throw your bag inside and then wander off to explore the festival site and watch some music.

Ten hours later, you’ve had a few drinks, it’s pitch black outside and you realise you have no idea where you’ve pitched up, let alone what your tent looks like in a sea of thousands of others.

Before you know it, you’re scrambling around with your iPhone torch and unzipping other people’s tents in the vain hope of finding your sleeping bag.

If this scenario sounds all too familiar, thankfully, someone has created an app that to end the torturous hours of searching in vain for iPhone users.

The ‘Tent Finder’ app uses GPS to allow you to mark your tent when you first pitch up at the festival, marking your campsite's location - whether you're planning to bed down in Bushy Ground or Pennard Hill.

The handy piece of tech, which was created by outdoors company Boutique Camping, drops a ‘pin’ on your tent and allows you to locate the area several hours later via a map.

As well as helping you from getting lost in a sea of tents this summer, It will allow you to mark other helpful locations such as your car or the bar, or more importantly - the nearest clean toilets.

Because realistically, there's always one toilet spot that everyone swarms to.

The app, which is free to download in the Apple iTunes store, will then lead you back to your chosen location with a directional arrow.

You'll never have to stumble around aimlessly in Worthy Farm again.
