What are your New Year resolutions?

This is the question you are more than likely to be inundated with over the course of the next few weeks while you drag yourself to the gym three times a week or congratulate yourself for putting an extra £5 in your savings account.

While the most popular New Year resolutions have been revealed, we also have an inkling about what Meghan Markle’s resolutions might be.

Before she shut down her now-defunct lifestyle blog, The Tig, Meghan wrote in a post that she has the same two resolutions each year: to stop swearing and to stop biting her nails.

"These make my New Year's resolution list nearly (AKA actually every) single year," Meghan wrote on January 1, 2016.

"The swearing comes in lulls triggered by being overworked or feeling mighty cheeky after a couple drinks. And when it comes to the biting of the nails—well, it still happens with a turbulent flight or a stressful day. It's unladylike. But then again, so is the swearing. Dammit."

In the same blog post – written 11 months before Meghan and soon-to-be husband Prince Harry confirmed they were dating – she said the only thing she aims for is to “approach life playfully”.

Meghan added: "To make my plans, and be okay if they sometimes break. To set my goals, but to be open to change. To let the magic know that there is an open door policy with me in 2016 and that it is always welcome to join the party. I invite you to do the same. Have a beautiful, blissful, and incredibly magical 2016. So grateful to be with you on the ride."

However, it seems the actress-turned-royal may have stuck to her long-time resolutions as from what we can see, there is not a swear word or chipped nail in sight.
