That’s the premise of Motor Sport Greats in Conversation by Simon Taylor, who presents in-depth interviews with 24 characters, all with a story to tell.
He says that the idea was to get them to suggest their favourite place for a good meal and then gently prod them into opening up their memories. And that is exactly what he did with the likes of Emerson Fittipaldi, Mario Andretti, Nigel Mansell, Damon Hill and so on. Published by Haynes at £19.99, it makes a great read.
