Life coach: Dan Rookwood

Our resident life coach on last minute father's day gifts
Dan Rookwood18 June 2015

Quick, what should I get my dad for Father’s Day?

Your dad gave you life. He may also have given you male pattern baldness, but still, show a little gratitude. First of all, buy him a proper card and write something heartfelt in it. This will mean more to him than anything. If you like, you could also give him one of the following: a monogrammed passport holder from Shinola on Newburgh Street (above); The Dapper Gentleman grooming set from Aesop; a Bialetti espresso pot from Labour and Wait; Master & Dynamic headphones; Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s autobiography. And remember to call him on Sunday. You’re a good child.

Jason Markk shoe cleaner

It’s summer, so you’re wearing your nice white trainers. You live in London, so they don’t stay nice and white for long. Ergo, you need Jason Markk’s products (available at Size? on Neal Street). The range includes Quick Wipes for a once-over, Repel stain barrier, and Shoe Cleaner, which is frankly remarkkable. From £8 (jasonmarkk.com)
