Home fragrance has become a very personal style statement.

Scenting a space is an extension of your individuality; a way of marking out your territory and owning your surroundings. It has become as essential as a ‘signature scent’ worn on the skin since people have to be invited into your home to experience it.

Candle care

1. When lighting a candle for the first time, let the wax burn to the edges. This will allow it to pool evenly for the candle’s lifespan so you will get the most out of your scent.

2. Light candles an hour before guests arrive for that maximum punch of fragrance. Extinguish the flame or even hide the candle so your home appears naturally fragrant.

3. Never blow it out! Most candles come with a lid for a reason — use it to snuff out the flame and this will keep the scent intact.

4. Give the wick a trim before relighting. This ensures less soot is formed when the candle is burning and the oils are kept conditioned.
