It is one of the biggest nights in the fashion calendar, and last night stars of the runway joined designers and celebrities to celebrate the annual CFDA Fashion Awards in New York.

Rarely a pair to under-perform on a red carpet, Gigi and Bella Hadid arrived showcasing very opposing aesthetics.

Wearing Off-White, Bella stood out in a fuchsia pink belted jacket-dress and wore her newly-bobbed hair curling beneath her chin making the most of her blunt fringe.

Gigi, on the other hand, opted for a much more ethereal look, arriving in a stunning cream loose-fitting dress and silk jacket by Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen's brand The Row, which fell to the floor and allowed for just a glimpse of her silver flats.

But while the Olsen twins triumphed in the dressing of Gigi, they missed out on both the Womenswear and Accessory Designer gongs they were nominated for.

One designer who didn't miss out - and in fact totally triumphed on the night - was Raf Simons, who won the awards for both Best Womenswear Designer and Best Menswear Designer for his work at Calvin Klein less than a year after he was appointed Chief Creative Officer at the label.

Other winners on the night included Stuart Vevers for Coach who was awarded Accessory Designer of the Year and Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia for Monse who were named the best Emerging Talent.
