  • Extra £1bn a year for Tube and vigorous policing of PPP contracts.
  • All new trains on Circle, District, Metropolitan, Hammersmith and City and the East London line fitted with air conditioning.
  • Later running for the Tube by an extra hour every Friday and Saturday night.
  • Reduce queues at Tube stations and bus stops by replacing cash with Oyster smart card. All cash off buses by 2006.
  • Permit scheme to ensure holes in the road are properly co-ordinated.
  • Congestion charge easier to use by allowing drivers to have bank account automatically debited.
  • Consultation will be conducted on extended the charge zone to Westminster and Kensington and Chelsea so charging hours would end half an hour earlier at 6pm.
