Teen arrested over Stirland killing

A teenager was arrested today over the double murder of a couple who were shot dead in their seaside retreat in a suspected revenge killing.
Joan and John Stirland, who allegedly fled their Nottingham home after it was attacked by gunmen, were found dead in their bungalow in Trusthorpe, Lincolnshire, earlier this month.
A 19-year-old man from Nottingham was arrested in connection with the killing and will be interviewed by detectives in Lincolnshire later today, a police spokesman said.
