Storms to end summer sun

Just when it looked as though summer had begun at last, forecasters warned today that the worst of the weather is not yet over.
The Met Office predicts that the dismal summer will continue with London and the South-East plagued by thundery showers this weekend.
"Showers on Saturday could be quite heavy and possibly thundery. Temperatures should get up to 20C but don't expect perfect barbecue conditions, " a spokesman said.
