Richard & Judy are weaker link

12 April 2012

Anne Robinson gave the homely charms of Richard and Judy a whipping in the audience figures for the couple's Channel 4 debut yesterday.

The pair's first show on the station was beaten by The Weakest Link by two to one, overnight viewing figures show. Worse still, Richard and Judy lost 800,000 viewers over the hour they were on air.

The first edition of their show pulled in just 2.2 million viewers - less than half the 4.5 million who watched an hour-long Weakest Link special on BBC2 at 5pm.

The pair took a 12.9 per cent audience share between 5pm and 6pm, while The Weakest Link achieved a 28.8 per cent share.
