Police hunt station iPhone thief

Suspect: a CCTV picture of the man detectives want to quiz over phone thefts
12 April 2012

A mobile phone thief is being sought by police after two raids on a London railway station.

British Transport Police said the suspect targeted the Vodafone store at St Pancras International, each time ripping an iPhone from a display cradle and walking off.

The iPhones would be useless if "fenced" to unsuspecting buyers as they were immediately blocked by Vodafone. BTP today released CCTV images of man they want to question in connection with the thefts, which happened last month and earlier in the year.

The man is white, in his early or mid-twenties, around 5ft 6in tall and with floppy dark hair.

Anyone with information is asked to call BTP on 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference B5/LNA.
