12 April 2012

A killer who went on the run after escaping from a secure hospital unit is back in custody while police hunt a second escapee.

William Scott, 44, and Jackie Kerr, 27, are thought to have climbed through a window at the Luton and Dunstable Hospital on Saturday.

Scott, sentenced to 10 years for manslaughter, has since turned up at a hospital 18 miles away.

Kerr, jailed for five years for robbery and described as dangerous, remains on the run and should not be approached, police said.
