Online Awards success

This is London's editor Nigel Vincent narrowly missed out on Editor of the Year at the industry's prestigious Association of Online Publishers Awards yesterday.

Just one year after This is London's complete redesign, it was a tremendous achievement for Nigel to be shortlisted down to the final five.

Hosted at the Millennium Mayfair Hotel by comedian Sean Meo, the awards did bring joy for This is London's sister site This is Money. It won the Best Digital Product Award, beating off competition from the BBC, FHM and the FT.

Judges particularly praised the site for its 'many useful tools and interactivity, such as the lively message boards and 'ask the experts' area.

Its integration of ecommerce partnership opportunities into editorial without compromising editorial integrity was also highlighted as a strength.
