Mother wins right to murder appeal

The case of a mother who claims she was wrongly convicted of killing two of her babies has been referred back to the Court of Appeal, it was announced today.

Donna Anthony was sentenced to life in 1998 at Bristol Crown Court for the murder of her two children Jordan and Michael in February 1996 and March 1997 respectively.

The case against her relied on evidence from the now-discredited paediatrician Professor Sir Roy Meadow.

A spokesman for the Criminal Cases Review Commission (CCRC) today said it had decided to refer her case back to the Court of Appea
