Man found battered to death

A murder inquiry is under way today after a man was found battered to death in a flat in Surrey. The victim, who was in his forties, died from head injuries.
He was discovered by a man who called emergency services to the flat in Rodney Road, Walton-on-Thames.
An ambulance spokesman said: "The victim had died from severe head injuries and it would appear he had been attacked."
A spokesman for Surrey police appealed for witnesses to contact them.
