Ken: Labour is robbing us

Ken Livingstone today accused Tony Blair of robbing Londoners of £460 a year each in public subsidies.

New research obtained by the Mayor suggests that the capital is £3.4 billion worse off than it should be, because it is not getting its rightful share of Treasury cash.

His comments - implicitly an attack on Chancellor Gordon Brown - come just a day after a Labour party plan emerged to derail attempts to re-embrace him as the official Labour candidate for the 2004 mayoral elections.
