Jude meets Sienna's mum

Acting casually: Law arrives alone to avoid being seen with Miller

Jude Law's new girlfriend Sienna Miller has introduced the Hollywood actor to her mother.

Less than a fortnight after his quickie divorce from Sadie Frost, Law and Miller spent the evening together at a wrap party for their new film, a remake of Michael Caine's Sixties classic, Alfie.

Miller also invited her mother, Josephine, who called Law "adorable". The couple are reported to be moving into a flat in Miller's native New York.

But Law, 30, went to great lengths not to be pictured with the actress at Paramount Films' secret £23,500 party at the Cafeteria in Ladbroke Grove.

Law's chauffeur brought Miller, 21, and then left to pick up Law, who arrived in a beanie hat - and even blew a kiss to the Standard's photographer.

The couple mingled with 200 of the production crew and danced to Latin music - having taken dancing classes together for their movie roles.

Law drank vodka and lemonade while Miller and the rest of the crew drank strawberry martini and miniature bottles of Pop champagne. They ate canapés and watched edited clips from Alfie.

But Law instructed friends to tell the photographer outside that neither himself or Miller were there.

Later his chauffeur picked them up separately and they carried on partying back at her Notting Hill flat.

An onlooker said of Law: "He shot out of the restaurant in such a hurry to try to avoid getting photographed that he nearly went flat on his face."
