Fiona Bruce berated for making Antiques Roadshow 'sexy'

BBC viewers have complained that the Antiques Roadshow has been inappropriately "sexed up" by new presenter Fiona Bruce.

They say the 44-year-old replacement for Michael Aspel, 75, is "dumbing down" the format and turning it into the Fiona Bruce Show. One wrote: "The show is losing its credibility while this giggly female appears on it," and others complained about her bringing along her doll collection.

However, since she took charge, viewers have risen by 600,000. A BBC spokesman said: "The format has not changed."
