Ebookers on the right lines

INTERNET travel group ebookers narrowed its losses in the first quarter and forecast further 'significant' sales growth this year with demand for air travel rebounding from the 11 September-related downturn.

In a traditionally strong first quarter, ebookers' net loss to 31 March fell 41% to £3.4m against the previous three months, and from £8.6m a year ago. Gross sales rose 54% to £60.6m. Core losses fell 56% to £1.3m. It expects to become cash positive this year.
