Becks scores with Portuguese women

England captain David Beckham has won the hearts of the Portuguese women's football team.

Captain Carla Cristina Correia told a Portuguese newspaper he was "far more popular" than local players such as Cristiano Ronaldo. The team have his photo on their notice board.

Meanwhile fans have been told how to avoid injury while watching Euro 2004. The Chartered Society of Physiotherapy advises against curling up in despair, flailing arms in anger, and over-zealous goal celebrations.
