Baby abandoned at airport

13 April 2012

The parents of a two-week-old baby abandoned their child at Heathrow Airport and are thought to have flown abroad moments later.

The boy, named Sonny by nurses, was found in a lavatory in Terminal Two last Friday night.

He was taken to hospital for check-ups and was found to be well. He has been placed with foster carers.

Detectives want to trace an Oriental couple spotted by airport CCTV near the lavatory at about the time the baby was abandoned.
