£2million Prada Boys gang jailed

13 April 2012

Five robbers known as the Prada Boys were jailed for a total of 39 and a half years today after pocketing up to £2 million in cash and jewellery.

They spent nights "trawling" the West End for victims in expensive cars who were followed home by the knife-wielding gang. In one case, Harrow Crown Court heard, Lady Alliance lost an uninsured £1.3 million in gold coins and jewellery after being warned her fingers would be cut off.

Gang mastermind Darren Mentore, 22, of Six Acres Estate, Holloway, whose Prada footwear gave the police the lead they needed to track them down, was jailed for nine years.
