According to the calendar, Christmas Day falls just once a year, but for a growing number of people it appears once is not enough.

More than half of us will hold at least one "fake Christmas" this year in a bid to accommodate as many friends and family as possible.

Multiple Christmas celebrations are becoming more and more common because of increasing numbers of separated and extended families, with 49 per cent holding festive celebrations more than once and 30 per cent celebrating several times on Christmas Day.
