Jurgen Klopp delivers injury update on Liverpool duo Mo Salah and Andy Robertson

Jurgen Klopp expects both Mohamed Salah and Andy Robertson to be fully fit for Liverpool's midweek meeting with Crystal Palace.

Both players have failed to make the starting XI to face Everton at Goodison Park this evening after battling minor knocks throughout the week.

Salah has proven fit enough to take a place on the bench, with Takumi Minamino starting in his stead, but Robertson has missed out a place in the squad entirely.

However, Klopp is confident that the pair should be ready to return to the line-up when Palace visit Anfield on Wednesday evening.

He told the club's official website: “It’s a really special time and in this time, after four week’s pre-season and preparation, we cannot ignore that we play again on Wednesday. I just can’t.

"It’s not the last game of the season, so I have to think a little bit about it.

“Some players couldn’t train in the last week – they trained, but not with the team – like Mo and Robbo, but yesterday they were in training and both looked really good. That’s why Mo is in the squad, Robbo not yet but on Wednesday [he will be] again.

“For Robbo, it was better to have a proper session today and then be in for Wednesday, and for Mo it is the right thing to do it like this.”
